[Editor's Cheers] 모욕을 주지 말라!!

남들의 취향을 놓치지 말고 파악하라.
그렇지 않으면 기쁨 대신 늘 곤혹이 따른다.
어떤 사람에게는 아참이 되고
어떤 사람에게는 모욕이 될 수 있다.
때로는 어떤 사람을 기쁘게 하기보다
그를 불쾌하게 하는 데 더 큰 희생이 따른다.

남들의 생각을 알지 못하면
그를 만족시키기는 힘들다.
그래서 칭찬일줄 알고 질책을 하는 바람에
벌을 받는 사람도 있다.
또 능변으로 남을 즐겁게 해주려다
험구로 남의 기분을 그르치는 사람도 있다.

그대보다 윗사람의 비밀에는
절대 끼어들지 마라.

자기의 추함을 알려 주는 거울을
깨버리는 사람은 많다. 또 우리를 진심으로 파악한 자를 우리는 즐겨 보려 하지 않는다.
또 우리를 반겨 맞지 않는 자는
우리도 역시 반기지 않는다.

결코 누구에게도,
특히 권력 있는 자에게는 그들의 비밀을 캐는 너무 무거운 채칙을 가하지 말라 세상에서 가장 위험한 것이 우정의 신뢰이다. 남에게 자신의 비밀을 털어놓는 사람은 자신을 그의 노예로 만들고 만다. 그러니 남의 비밀을 듣지도 자신의 비밀을 말하지도 말라.
