1. ‘쓰렁 쁘레아’ 의식. 쫄츠남 3일 째 절에 있는 성수로 불상을 씻어 준다. 가정의 화목과 행복을 비는 뜻을 지니고 있다.

2. 쫄츠남이 되면 마을 주민들이 다 같이 모여 민속 춤을 즐긴다. 외국인도 함께 엉덩이를 흔들며 흥을 돋군다. 사진 속의 춤은 뱅뱅 돌며 손을 꼬는 ‘로암 봉’

3. 고향으로 내려가는 택시의 모습. 선물 보따리와 짐 보따리를 가득채운 택시가 잘못하면 쓰러질 것 같다. 좌석은 비좁지만 마음만은 어느 때 보다 즐겁다.

4. 일년 중 제일 무더운 4월 중순, 쫄츠남 마지막 날이 되면 사람들은 물을 뿌리고 맞아주며 서로의 행복과 안녕 기원한다. 시원~ 하게 물을 뿌리는 사람이나 물을 맞는 사람이 얼굴에 한가득 미소를 품고 있다.

5. 쫄츠남 몇 주 전부터 동네사람들, 마을 사람들이 모여 민속 놀이를 즐긴다. 사진 속의 놀이는 ‘레악 껀싸엥’ (수건 감추기 ; 우리나라의 수건 돌리기와 비슷)

6. 쫄츠남은 1년 동안 캄보디아를 보살펴 준 신(작년의 토끼신)을 떠나보내고 올해의 신(용신)을 맞이하는 명절이다. 용신을 맡기 위해 다른 신들이 꽃잎을 뿌려 축복할 준비를 하고 있다.

7. 쫄츠남이 되면 시내 고급 호텔에서는 파티와 공연을 주최한다. 사진은 르 로열 호텔의 쫄츠남 기념 전통 음악&무용 공연식.
